Administrative / biographical background:

The chapel was built in High Street, Over, by the Wesleyan Methodists in 1883 and a new Sunday School was added in 1901. The premises were closed in 1977, when the Societies of Over, Winsford Central and Winsford St. Paul united to form the new Society of Winsford St. Andrew, worshipping in the newly erected church of St. Andrew.
